"KNOW WHEN TO FOLD 'EM"

Kenny Rogers timeless hit, "The Gambler," resonates with people around the world for its profound life lessons. The iconic lyrics, "You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em, know when to walk away, know when to run," serve as a poignant metaphor for the choices we make in life.

This painting could just as easily have been titled "know when to walk away," but in harmony with the dual meanings that infuse all the artworks, the gunfighter's folded posture demanded the name it bears. Perhaps, in the near future, a series of paintings paying homage to the chorus of "The Gambler" will grace your canvas. For now, it's sage advice to "KNOW WHEN TO FOLD 'EM," recognizing that sometimes the best move is to gracefully bow out when it's evident you can't win.
